Angelina Jolie and director Pablo Larraín discuss how they connected with the heartbreaking true story of world-famous opera singer Maria Callas. Kennedy was the subject of an earlier Pablo Larraín biopic, 2016’s “Jackie,” starring Natalie Portman in the title role.

To be fair, she was great in the acting parts. I wasn’t convinced by the singing parts. The film, however, was an excellent final chapter to a far less worthy life for Maria Callas.
However, it touches on many delicate moments that defined her career
She was a wonderful soul whose talent was the subject of great appreciation and suffering in equal parts. It presents the last seven days of her life and uses flashbacks to retrace her journey. In doing so, it absorbs you so much that you can no longer differentiate between her delusions and real memories.
